Small leaves, sensitive roots
Water thoroughly when the upper layer begins to dry. Avoid both a bone-dry root ball and permanently wet, compact substrate.
Fine structure without compaction
Use smaller stable particles that distribute moisture yet retain air. Ensure drainage remains open and never leave the pot standing in water.
Prune only active growth
Shorten extending shoots to refine the crown. Delay heavy pruning when light is weak or after relocation, repotting or leaf loss.
